Ordered by Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (French Line) and keel laid for that company. Sold on stocks to Maritime Financing Corp. (H. H. Thyssen-Bornemisza Group, Lugano), Panama.

Launched on 30.04.1969 as "FAVORITA" with homeport Monrovia. She was named after the famous Villa Favorita at Lugano, which Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza is owners.

In December 1969 delivered to Maritime Financing Corp. (Management: Suisse-Outremer Bereederungs-und Befrachtungs A.G., Zürich), Monrovia. Cranes: 4x 5ton SWL (Save Working Load). Official no: 3350. Call sign: 5LIO.

In April 1978 the management name changed to Suisse-Outremer Reederei A.G., Zürich.

Bought on 26.09.1979 by St. Gotthard Schiffahrts A.G., Chur, and registered under Swiss flag. Port of registry: Basilea. Official no: 108. Call sign: HBFL.

On 16.03.1982 the "FAVORITA" rescued 15 crew and the shipsdog "Leica" from the Spanish trawler "Ribera del Orbigo" (246/62) from Vigo which sank between the Islas Canarias and Cabo Bojador after taking in water in her engine room very fast. She has been sailed shortly before from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria after a major engine refitt.

Sold on 13.07.1983 at Marseille to Société Ivorienne de Transports Maritimes (SITRAM), Abidjan and renamed "ONO". Official no: AN1003. Call sign: TUMI.

Colided on 08.03.1985 off the Mauretanian coast with the Romanian sterntrawler factory "Postavarul" (3971/84), which sank in a position 19°57' N Long, 17°25' W in bad visibility. Two of her crew lost. Continued voyage with damage and arrived 17.03.1985 to discharge and reload at Marseille. Sailed after temporary and part permanent repairs effected.

Arrived on 13.07.1985 in tow at Cadiz with heavy fire damage amidships after the day before a fire broke out in her engineroom in a position 34°51' N, 07°06' W, on a voyage from Dakar to Alicante, with a cargo of pinapple and bananas .

On the 15.07.1985 three inspectors died after Co2-inhalation in the cargo hold, during examination of the cargo. The deadly gas was produced by the ripening fruits.

The ship and her cargo declared as a constructive total loss and the "ONO" left Cadiz on 28.10.1985 in tow for Algeciras to be broken up. Demolition commenced on 13.11.1985.
