Sustained rudder damage on Christmas day 1959 in the North Atlantic and was taken in tow by a Dutch tugboat. 1968 purchased by Alpina Reederei A.G., Basel. Not renamed. Sold on 09th March 1971 at Hamburg to Freatis Shipping Co. Ltd. (Management: Athos Shipping Ltd., London), Famagusta, for £ 800'000.- and renamed "CHRISTOPHER S." . Call sign 5BRR. 1974 registrered at Limassol. 1978 sold to Natamar Shipping Corp. (same management), Piraeus. Not renamed. Call sign SXKF. GRT: 9047, NRT: 5238, DWT: 14'351. Arrived on 07.10.1982 at Split, and broken up by Brodospas. |
